My daughter adapted to one of those sugar-in-bath-oil products. Since then, any little bit of dirt absolutely clings to the bathtub. When I try to scrub it off, it's like in motion sludge. I've tried a liquid abrasive and Dow bathroom cleaner to no avail.

Go to Household Depot and ask..I used to know the name of the product, but you can't use scrubbing bubbles on it.
