qid and dividend?

qid is an etf that ultra shorts the nasdaq 100. I observe that it has dividend of 5.77%. My question is, how does that work? How does an etf that shorts offer a dividend?

It's not imaginable to have an inverse 200% performance by shorting stocks. When you short a stock then you normally get an inverse 100% play.
