What hours is gasoline or crude traded on the NYMEX?

I have noticed that when I go to like CNBC.com or Marketwatch.com, when watching the gasoline stocks (or whatever they're called since they're commodities), even though the New York Stock Exchange closes at 4:00PM EST, crass oil will continue to trade.

question on opening and closing of a stock?

Hi, I am interested in making a baby investment into the stock market. I am very new so please bear that in mind.
What exactly does it mean when a stock opens and closes. I've been told that the stock exchange exchange hours are:
Monday
1. The womanhood of investors trade during the normal market hours of 9:30am-4pm. During the time the market is open the stock price will fluctuate all the term, reflecting the trades as they are made and its all about supply and demand for the stock,
