Are listed companies required to have internal audit function?

I be acquainted with NYSE Listed Company Manual requires listed company to have an internal audit function. Do you know if any other major stock exchanges require the same?
Appreciate some note on the actual rules/ regulations.

As far as I cognizant of, all listed companies must comply with a code of corporate governance which usually requires an audit committee, one of whose duties is to scrutiny the effectiveness of the internal audit function.
